Kitchen Small Appliances Enhance Good Eating Habits |

Most kitchen small appliances can do double duty for a number of different applications, but not coffee grinders. Once used for coffee, always used for coffee. That heavenly smell of coffee beans is hard to get out and it's just easier to get a second grinder for other beans or grains that need to be finely ground using these powerful kitchen small appliances. I know this situation firsthand. I had some barley that I wanted to grind up to thicken a gravy to make it healthier than if I were using bleached white flour and when I tasted the chicken gravy, it had the distinct flavor of coffee.
This happened recently, so I went online looking for another coffee grinder, and found a site that sells small kitchen appliances at great prices. I found this Black & Decker SmartGrind Blade Grinder for grinding whole grains. My niece used to grow her own grain and grind it herself to make the healthiest, freshest bread that she could, and used a coffee grinder to get the job done. I'm probably not going to go to those lengths, but am looking forward to smaller grinding jobs for healthier food. I like the fact that this has a clear top, so I can see how coarsely ground the grains and nuts are. I read a recipe yesterday that uses almond flour in it, and I should be able to do that easily in this kitchen small appliance. I like the clean lines of this, too, so I can keep it out on the counter for easy use.
I had some fun looking for kitchen small appliances online. I discovered that there are many different kitchen small appliances for cooking up all kinds of different things, like making ice cream, popcorn, ethnic food, stick blenders, espresso makers, and countertop ovens for single serving meals. I even bought one of those not long ago, and it works pretty well. For now, however, I'm limiting my next kitchen small appliance to my coffee grinder so I can take advantage of whole foods at home to improve our diet.
I found this Lucia's Store at www.luciasstore.com/, a site with a lot of interesting products for the home, including vacuum cleaners, silk flowers, and other home decorating items. I love shopping online. It's the time and money saving way to buy things we need at home and by anticipating what we need, we don't have to hop in the car and fight the crowds to buy locally anymore. When I get this, I'm going to start making bread using all kinds of whole grains and dried food for our family's good health and I can even use the Internet to find some exotic whole grains not found locally for adventures in good eating.
