silk flower arrangement About 10 years ago I moved to Phoenix from Laguna Beach, California, and of the many things I miss about living along the coast are these blue flowers shown here. I had a downstairs patio at my townhouse where these flowers grew and bloomed almost all year long. I don't know the name of them but I do know that they thrive in that environment. People are so strange. When I was living in Laguna Beach, I had silk flower arrangements of the Arizona desert. One of my favorites at that time was of the Mexican bird of paradise, a striking plant that blooms profusely in the summer with very little water. In fact I still have that silk flower arrangement. Silk flowers last forever and look so authentic that people visiting me for the first time often ask me how I keep that bird of paradise blooming during the winter.
